Bodywork and Pilates questions, Chicago

Good to know before your first session.

Still unsure? A free consultation is the easiest way to find the right fit.

How do I choose the right service if I'm unsure?

If you're new to bodywork or movement, want to try something new, or aren't sure what to book, schedule a free consultation. Dara will learn about your goals and help you pick the services or program that fit.

What is covered in the intake form?

The intake form is for massage and bodywork clients. It asks about your body's needs, areas of discomfort or tension, your goals for the session and anything medically relevant, so Dara can tailor the work to you.

How should I prepare for a bodywork session?

Hydrate well before any bodywork session, and fill out the intake form before your first massage. For Table Thai, eat light. For Myofascial Release, wear a sports bra and shorts or underwear so Dara can see postural landmarks, and avoid a heavy meal beforehand so abdominal work is more comfortable.

Can I pay with my HSA or FSA?

Yes. Chi-Town services are eligible expenses for most Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts. Documentation is available on request.

Do you offer in-home and outcall sessions?

Yes. Bodywork can come to you if you have your own table and are within travel distance. Movement sessions within travel distance can be arranged with an added fee for the commute. Home sessions carry a minimum 20% fee, depending on location.

Do you offer couples massage?

Not as a standard service. If you have a second therapist and the space to host, it can be arranged.

What is the cancellation policy?

Please cancel at least 24 hours before your session. Late cancellations are charged the full amount.
